Dekupeo is an affordable desktop application for laser cutting and engraving.
It helps you arrange your parts efficiently on sheets of material to minimize waste and save costs,
generates and executes G-code for your laser cutter.
Dekupeo is designed to be user-friendly and accessible for makers, hobbyists, and small businesses.
It supports true-shape nesting for complex parts and offers both community and paid licences.
What is nesting?
Nesting is the process of arranging parts on sheets of material to minimize waste and optimize material usage.
Who can use Dekupeo?
Dekupeo is designed for small businesses, makers, and hobbyists who need an affordable, easy-to-use nesting solution without the high cost of traditional software.
What file formats does Dekupeo accept?
Dekupeo currently supports the DXF, SVG, PNG, JPG and BMP formats for part shapes, PNG and JPG for raster engrave and .gcode for gcode execution.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Dekupeo has a functional community licence with some limited capabilities.
Community tier is limited to 10 parts in the nesting job and 0.3 m sheet size.
This is enough for testing the software and processing small jobs.
Paid licences remove the limit and unlock larger sheet sizes, custom sheet shapes, sheet shape autodetection and autoengraving.
Can I use Dekupeo offline?
Yes, it runs locally on your Windows or Linux PC.
It needs internet only for licence verification and updates, but you can work completely offline.
Do I need to buy a support & updates for Dekupeo Desktop?
No, it is not required for Dekupeo Desktop. With the desktop licence, you gain access to updates and support for 1 year.
After that, you can continue using the software indefinitely, but you will need to renew your support subscription to receive updates and support.
What happens when my 1 year of updates expires?
Nothing! Your software will keep working forever.
If you want to get the latest features after your year is up, you can renew your access for a discounted price or a slightly higher late-renewal fee if you decide to upgrade after a longer break.
My DXF file is not imported correctly — what can I do?
The most common causes are: open contours, unsupported entities (e.g. 3D solids), or incorrect units. Follow the steps in How to Prepare DXF Files.
If the problem persists, open a support ticket from your Dashboard and if possible, attach the problematic file.
Where can I report a bug or request a feature?
